Charmaine Borg

Charmaine is an assistant professor at the University of Groningen. She has earned a masters degree from the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London in January 2009, majoring in CBT and Women’s Mental Health. Charmaine completed her doctorate studies at the Experimental Psychology and Clinical Psychopathology at the University of Groningen, in 2013.

Her research has been well captured by (premier) media agents such as the Scientific American, and National Dutch TV programs. She is frequently invited speaker internationally and she is continuing on her line of research at the same university. Her research focuses on sexual excitation and sexual inhibitors.

She has been accredited as a psycho-sexologist from both the European Society of Sexual Medicine and the European Federation of Sexology and she is currently a Management Committee Member of the European Sexual Medicine Network and an Education Committee member of the European Society of Sexual Medicine
